UT Permian Basin senior Daeshon Francis has been named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Francis led the Falcons to three wins, averaging 21.7 points in victories against Jarvis Christian, Cameron and Midwestern State. He led UTPB with 24 points, four blocks and three steals in a 95-88 win over CU. Francis came back two days later with 28 points on 12-17 shooting (70.6 percent) from the field and five assists in an 88-71 win over MSU.

He now leads the Lone Star Conference in scoring, averaging 21.5 points on the season and is fourth in the league in field goal percentage, hitting 52.3 percent of his shot attempts this year. He has scored in double figures in all 13 games this season and has had at least 21 points in five of his last seven games.

Francis and the Falcons return to action tonight against Arlington Baptist at 6 p.m.
